Capital Region Physician Access Survey

Survey of Wait times to access Physician Services
conducted for the Capital Region Medical Staff Association
September 1999

Response Rates
1423 physicians in the Capital Health Region were surveyed by fax, with a reminder sent to all who had not responded after 21 days. 763 active family physicians were identified and received surveys, of whom 295 responded. 266 Specialists including Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Psychiatry responded from a known 562 medical specialists and sub-specialists. Lastly, 98 surveys from 172 known Surgical Specialists/Subspecialists were received.
